Privacy Policy
Blended is built to be a private, warm place for your family’s recipes — not an ad business. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. In plain terms: we collect what we need to run the app for you, and we don’t sell your data.
What we collect
- Account info — your name and email, handled through our authentication provider when you sign up or sign in.
- Your content — recipes, photos, original cards/PDFs, bios, comments, menus, meal plans, and the groups you create or join.
- Payment info — if you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card. We receive your subscription status, not your full card number.
- Basic usage & device data — standard logs and a cookie that remembers your chosen language and keeps you signed in.
How we use it
- To provide and operate the Service — store your cookbook, sync it across your devices, and share it with the people in your groups.
- To power features like reading handwritten cards, translating, tagging diets and cuisines, suggesting adaptations, and building grocery lists.
- To process subscriptions and, if you order one, to print and ship a book.
- To keep the Service secure, fix problems, and respond to your requests.
AI processing
To read, translate, and adapt recipes, the relevant text and images are sent to our AI provider to generate the result. This content is processed to provide the feature you asked for; it isn’t used to advertise to you.
Who we share with
We share data only with the service providers that help us run Blended (our “subprocessors”), each under their own privacy and security commitments:
- Authentication — to create and secure your account.
- Stripe — to process subscription payments.
- Hosting & file storage — to run the app and store your photos and documents.
- Our database provider — to store your cookbook data.
- AI provider — to power recipe reading, translation, and adaptation.
- Print partner — only if you order a printed book, to fulfill and ship it.
We don’t sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of people using Blended.
Your content is shared with your people
Blended is built for sharing within families and friend groups. Recipes and profiles you add are visible to members of the groups they belong to, and to anyone you send a share link to. You control which groups your recipes are in.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies: one to keep you signed in, and one to remember your language preference. We don’t use advertising trackers.
Keeping & deleting your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can edit or remove your content at any time, and you can request a copy or full deletion of your account and data by emailing table@blendedcookbook.com. We’ll honor verified requests as required by applicable law.
Children
Blended isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we’ll remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these, email table@blendedcookbook.com.
Changes
If we update this policy, we’ll change the date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app.
