Terms of Service

Welcome to Blended. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Blended (“we,” “us,” “our”) covering your use of the Blended website and app at blendedcookbook.com (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. What Blended is

Blended is a private cookbook and family-directory app. You can save recipes, organize them into family or friends groups, plan menus and meals, build grocery lists, invite people, and order printed books of your recipes. Some features use artificial intelligence to read, translate, tag, and adapt recipes.

2. Your account

You need an account to use most of the Service. Accounts are created and secured through our authentication provider. You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to use Blended.

3. Your content

You own what you add. Recipes, photos, bios, comments, and other content you upload remain yours. You grant us a limited license to store, process, display, and back up that content solely to operate the Service for you and the people you share it with — including sending it to the third-party providers below to power features like recipe reading, translation, and printing.

You’re responsible for the content you add. Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to share, and please respect the privacy of the family and friends in your groups.

4. Acceptable use

• Don’t use Blended for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive.
• Don’t upload content that infringes others’ rights or that you weren’t given permission to share.
• Don’t attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service.
• Don’t use the Service to send spam or to harass anyone.

5. Subscriptions & payments

Blended offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription ($5/month or $48/year). Premium is billed to your account and unlocks unlimited recipes across every group you own. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we don’t store your full card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time — your Premium features continue until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

6. Printed books

Printed hardcover and paperback books are an optional purchase, priced per book and fulfilled by a third-party print-on-demand partner. Pricing, shipping, and production times are shown at checkout. Because each book is custom-printed for you, printed orders generally can’t be cancelled once submitted, except for defects.

7. Third-party services

To run Blended, we rely on trusted providers, including for authentication, payments (Stripe), hosting and file storage, our database, AI processing for recipe features, and print fulfillment. Their handling of data is covered by our Privacy Policy.

8. AI features

Some features (reading cards, translating, tagging diets/cuisines, suggesting adaptations and grocery lists) are generated by AI and may be imperfect. Always check ingredients, allergens, and dietary suitability yourself before cooking or serving. Blended’s suggestions are not professional, medical, or dietary advice.

9. Termination

You can stop using Blended and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm others or us. You can request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing table@blendedcookbook.com.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blended is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
